Katherine & Edward's New Gameroom!
This is a GARGANTUAN step up from the garage! But this room does present
a new challenge - the garage had shelves everywhere along the walls for
terrain and minis whereas this room has a wall of windows looking out,
and windows into the adjoining room because this room has been added onto
the house so we've got almost no wallspace suitable for shelves, but the
gametable shelves will hold a ton of minis once I get them finished, and
I'm sure there are ways to store minis attractively :) The skylights and
windows in this room simply flood the room with great natural light - it
promises to be awesome for painting!
The view out of this room is an AMAZING improvement over the view we
had from inside a garage....
Especially when you consider this gameroom looks out onto the POOL!
:) I can't wait to take breaks to ponder 40K strategies, I
think a dip in the pool will be just the thing to clear my mind! bwahahahaha
Alrighty - pretty views aside let's get down to hobby stuff.
This is the 4X8 gametable with shelves underneath for storage. The
shelves in the left corner are built into the wall, the shelves on the
right are a standing bookshelf. This TV is temporary until I move the bigger
TV over from the old gameroom.
On the table here we can see the full spectrum of 40K Universe games.
To the right on black cloth trays are some of my BFG ships, the scratch
built Thunderhawk and Reaver Titan are pretty obvious, a tray of Epic Titans
is barely visible at the far end of the table, a 40K landraider crusader
is visible at the front of the table, a number of 40K minis are barely
visible on the shelves, along with some Epic and 40K terrain, and a bunch
of paint and modeling supplies behind the Titan. Looking forward to getting
things all organized so I can get back to modeling and gaming!
I hope you enjoyed this peek into our gaming world!
