 complete track of the body count.

 success against those pathetic fools who dare call themselves (dark) Eldar, and will
 occasionally fight a Microsoft drone's DA and a little 'uns Temps, but usually I'd rather ally

 Option 1

 Buy the resin kit from Forge World.

 Option 2

 Modify the turret of a Falcon. I originally used a Wraith Lord head and used some green (or
 baby blue) stuff to bulk it up. A few minutes with my Dremell and a piece of coat hanger and I
 was ready to go.

 Die hard eldar (but also a SW player by heart) for the last 10 years. Can play any eldar force
 you can name and still have leftovers for breakfast.

 I was battling the emenies of humanity whith my Dark Angles army waaay back in the good
 old RT days. 
 And then one day an alien army materalised on the battle field. It was beautiful... and then a
 pure white light from heaven blinded my eyes and a voicse spoke to me and said "These are
 the Eldar your chosen path. From now on you shall be known as Farseer Galderon".
 And so it was, a Farseer was born and became the terror of the Adeptus Astartes.
 Well it sound a whole lot better than walking in the shop one day and saying wow they look
 cool.
 Still got my DA army tho.

 I would like to bring this up now. Wraith lords are not "cheesey". This may not seem like a
 convincing testimony but it is coming from a marines player. In fact, possibly the most boring
 army possible, the Ultramarines! No offense to either the UM's or Eldar. So you have been
 informed on the creator of this posts position on wraith lords. Oh, and Rork, they aren't that
 boring.

 I have been playing eldar now for almost 3 years. For the first 2 1/2 years i struggled and lost
 to my friends dark angels. Then i finished my army and now i make him give up in round 2. So
 I can now say that i am a truely an Eldar Veteran. To the rebirth of a new Eldar Empire!

 Eldar and frequently has trouble with SM's (Usually my Ultramarines or my other friends
 blood angels), do you think you could post some advise here so I can relay it to him? Thanks.

 Although I'm not a veteran player, I've been around the game since the beginning of 3rd
 Edition. Originally I played S.M. because of the simplicity and cheap cost to start them. But
 for the past year I've been working on the Eldar, specifically Ulthwe The Damned.
 Unfortunately because of college I've not even completed 500 points worth. Still, atleast I'm
 trying.

 i just started warhammer 40k and still things i need to clarify. it says in the codex the falcon
 can only hold 3 weapons but mine i beleive has 4 (scatter laser and bright lance on the turnt,
 twin linked shuricats and i think a pulse laser at th the bottom of the tank). my friend got me a
 farseer and i am not sure if it is a witch blade or a singing spear

 Falcons are armed with:
 pulse laser
 bright lance
 twinked shurican catupults

 If a farseer has a spear thing its a singing SPEAR if he/she has a blade its a witch BLADE

 The Eldar Falcon grav-tank has three weapons.
 1) Located on the right side of the turret is the long Pulse Laser.
 2) On the left side of the same turret is the secondary heavy weapon which you choose from
 those listed in the army list (the Scatter Laser is provided with the actually model but you can
 convert it to have any of the other options)
 3) Located under the Falcon grav-tank is the twin-linked Shuriken Catapult. This can be
 upgraded to a Shuriken Cannon if you so please.
 4) There is no four. The long skinny thing located beside the twin-linked Shuriken Catapults is
 a sensor that is purely cosmetic (it does NOT except look pretty)

 That is labelled correctly. That is a picture of a bright lance.
 The bright lance is smaller than the pulse laser, though. And, like I said, the weapon on the
 right of the turret IS a pulse laser. This will become more clear for you when you buy more
 models (namely ones that have a bright lance - like a War Walker). Then you can compare
 sizes. A bright lance is about the size of a scatter laser (a little long).

 just ignore it. It is just a natural thing for me:) Even though I have been playing for 9 years I do
 know how the game can be confusing (especially when you are completely new to the game
 or army). Ask me all that you like and I will be glad to help out the best that I can. But heed
 Inquisitos Czevak's wise words (pg 14 Codex: Eldar).

 The Farseer comes armed with any of these three: Close Combat Weapon (it can look like
 anything), a Witch Blade (not once has it been specified as a sword, so a spear can count)
 and a Singing Spear.

 Traditionally the Witch Blade is a sword and the Singing Spear is *gasp* a spear. To make
 things run smoothly (so your opponent doesn't get confused) keep it this way.

 Ohh i play Ulthwe and have about US $100 to spend :) what sould I get?

 36 guardians defenders
 3 jetbikes
 2 vypers
 1 falcon (soon to be waveserpent)
 1 heavey weapon starcannon/brightlance
 3 warlocks
 1 farseer
 Iknow I need to fill out my seer council
 I was thinking about some scops to put in my soon to be waveserpent :)
 and mabey some storm guardians

 What do u think???

 If you wanna take out the tau then use speed to your advantage, whats the point of a shooting
 army if your in combat before he gets his few rounds???

 take: 
 Swooping hawks; group(s) of five is(are) enough, hit his fire warriors or kroot with the
 grenade blast, shoot, then move in to face his troops in close combat. as long as your
 exarch(which you took) keeps hitting he'll get to attack again thanks to sustained assault
 (which again, you took). the tau fire warriors have a nice low WS2, so you'll hit lots.

 Vypers; when equiped with star cannons his battle suits(not as much useful on stealth suits) are
 no problem. if possible keep the vypers behind something until your ready to unleash them.
 Broad sides should be your main target, or an HQ.

 wraithlord; this is mostly used to tie up his kroot line protecting the rest of his army, keep them
 under control with this model, he shouldn't die. get him up there without being under too heavy
 of fire. Also avatars work well.

 Wave serpents; have one of these ready so that when its your turn you can quickly spring you
 troops (either of these are good: banshees for anti battle suits, or striking scorpions for anti
 stealth suits) into his lines and reak havoc within his ranks. Best with twin linked bright lances
 on top to rid yourself of hammerheads and other such vehicles.

 I am an Eldar veteran and have been so for 9 years now (well I guess a vet for 8 years and 11
 months, but playing for 9 years). I play "vanilla" Eldar buy I call them (and paint them as)
 Saim-Hann. I have near 5000 points collected, but what I have painted is another story
 (actually, most is painted). I also like long walks on the beach and reading poetry....

 Now, I am off this forum for now before I lose my mind...

 (longtime alaitoc player looking at biel-tan swordwind) alaitoc is definitly cool. really cool. the
 disruption tables are a blast for laughes(on your part) curses(on your opponents) and good
 times (for all). really alaitoc has a style of play that is singulary unique to its army. It is
 especially tooled towards scenario winning. I decided i needed a change when i wone a battle
 without playing a turn, my opponents army didn't show up!

 sine i just found out that my falcon has no bright lance i cannot take out the land raider
 easily(only glancing hits with my pulse laser)

 Yes, if you get a 6 it blows up (thats what I did to kill a LM Vanquisher with a shuriken
 catapult)

 I have not lost yet with my firepower biel tan eldar army - 9 battles and 9 vicotries - i won

 It is true if you take Eldrad Ulthran as the Farseer. He can cast two powers and they can be
 the same power. Therefore he can cast guide on the Guardian unit (Troops) and then on the
 Heavy Weapon platform (Heavy Support). What you said is not true if you take a
 conventienal Farseer. He can not cast the same power on two different units. 
 BUT!
 He can cast guide on 20 guardians AND a heavy weapon support platform that is PART of
 the guardian defender squad (because they are one unit).

 That's what I meant... I was just using a huge squad size to drive the point in...

 Okay I feel it is my duty to put up my 2 quid on this topic. Humm I guess you could say I am
 an eldar 'snake' (a vet, lean and mean. instead of a slow turtle). In 3rd I'm undefeated. okay
 bunch of wins and a very bloody tie (as best we can figure, it kind of evolved into a testing
 phase for both our armies {never fought nids, and he never fought eldar}). as for 2nd, a whole
 mess of wins and losses, more in the W colum then in the L. which leads me to the good ol
 RT days. hehe ALL wins. First time i played, got lucky and won with SM, but I got eldar and
 have since made rivers of the blood of all those who have stood against me. Enough of the
 shameless gloating. as for my army I have about 6000 pts of painted eldar, and another 4-5k
 of unpainted aspect warriors. Currently playing Ulthwe but have slowly been creating a
 massive sordwind army (3rd ed forces me to do this, I've got too many warlocks). So I've
 been collecting since '89 about 12 years or so.

 I loved the Eldar with the rocket launcher. He looked like he would kick a Space Marines
 ass!!! Do you have the original Avatar? I do. He is painted just like my new Avatar but he is
 smaller. He is my "travel Avatar".

 Yes I have one and was trying to decide if I wanted to make him a Young King (?) figure, but
 how to use him, or even if i want to convert him. Since you mentioned the rocket launcher figs,
 I had converted a few into Aspect Warriors for my craftworld Ti Fa'nn. Look at the
 craftword posts that I made today (1/24)

 I would just like to give on piece of advise. When you are playing dont play piece-meal. That
 is, when you are attacking destroy one thing (ENTIRELY) and THEN move on to the next
 target. Dont kill most of one unit and then some of another etc. That will lead to problems later
 on.

 I've been killing in the Eldar name for two years now. I prefer multiple armies instead of one
 huge one so I also have a marine and IG. Each embodies around 2000 points and follow a set
 theme. The eldars are an air cavalry army and have NO heavy support choices. Instead I used
 vipers as moble support and serpents to transport shock troops.

 me), Space Marines, Imperial Guard (The old plastic ones. 36 per box, remember those? ah,
 the good old *cough*cheap*cough* days) & -dare I say it- Squats.

 my friend that I play about 80% of my games with plays eldar as his main army, I will deploy a
 new tactic and win a game, next game he will have copied my tactic and he will beat me, I will
 then use a new tactic and beat him. It has been going like this for four years practicly. And no
 matter which of my armies I use this pattern always happens. (I play as armoured company,
 tau, blood angels, orks, and speed freeks.)

 i played my friend today he was useing nids and i was using eldar of coarse.
 his army
 hive tyrantx1
 tyranid warriorsx6
 ripperswarmsx4
 hormagaunts (he had a lot)
 eldar
 1 farseer
 20 guardians
 3 jet bikes
 1vyper
 1 falcon

 turn1
 i manages to cause wounds on his hive tyrant ripper swarms and warriors. he engaged my
 grav tank causeing no damage and advanced his tormagaunts.
 turn2
 i unloaded farseer+5 guardians and cause 1 more wound on warriors
 he made a mess of my guardians and engaged tank causeing a shaken crew.
 turn3
 killed 3 warriors with jet bike and a few hormagaunts vyper not hitting anything.hive tyrant
 engages HtH on tank stunning the crew and killing 3 guardians with warriors i had 4 guardians
 left after.
 turn4
 kille the other warriors and 1 ripper swarm +5 hormagaunts. tyrant destroyed tank and HQ
 and eventually vyper + jet bikes

 Anytactics anyone? or what i should have done?

 i think the best unit for eldar would be the scorpians and dark reapers. And either warp
 spiders or swooping hawks are taking up space....
