Tactica Necrons #1, #2, and #3

These were posted a month back in May, and I shall repost them, because I've seen about 10 new names around, so I was thinking that maybe they would like to know about this new menace. And this is not the end, Tactica Necrons #4, will be out soon.

Tactica Necrons #1 "Power Weapons"

I have now seen Necrons play twice and I have learned a lot. The best possible combination against this new menace is 8 man Assault Terminator Squad, all lightning claws and with a Crusader. The sergeant may be given lightning claws for 30 points, so the cost for this combination would be:
7 Terminators -- 294pts.
Sergeant with Lightning Claws -- 72pts.

Total: 366pts.

Crusader: 255pts.

Grand Total: 621pts.

Mount the terminators on the Crusader in the beginning and at the first turn move, 12" forwards and use the "Eye" to shoot your hurricane bolters and assault cannon. Next turn. hopefully the land raider wasn't popped by the annoying
"hitting six glances, gauss weapons". Move the Crusader 12" forwards and shoot hurricane bolters and assault cannon. Now get the termies out and go kick some... never mind. But still, assault a squad of immortals or destroyers or anything pretty scary. Slice them into bits (fairly easy with 32 lightning claw attacks). Now consolidate on and the necrons won't rise up, because lightning claws are power weapons and no repairing allowed, plus there won't probably be another squad of the same type 6" away. So in the first Necron game I saw, they used this tactic and the terminators killed in total:
6 destroyers, 3 scarabs, 10 immortals and 24 necron warriors.
That's about: 968 points. Thats almost triple their own points value. The crusader didn't get kills worth 255 points, but it can get those 255 points from the terminators just for transporting them into battle.
That was on terminators, but don't forget your other possible power weapon carrying soldiers, too. This was an example.

Tactica Necrons #2 "Firepower"
In the first part, you must have realized the effectiveness of the power weapons against necrons. Now I shall give some introduction to anti-necron firepower.
I'll start off with the good old 120 point-monster; Vindicator. This should do a lot in a game, as long as the necrons get in range quite early. It can blow off up to 10 necron warriors and a lord fairly easy. Destroyers usually the first things in a necron army to get in the range of 24". So a squad of 3 destoyers should be gone with a single shot, if the opponent isn't too lucky and the models are pretty close together. Also the scattering can screw your plans, but nobody stops you from taking a chance. Next thing in the range of 24" could be a teleporting lord. If this guy comes in 24", he hasn't got big chances to survive. Only a scattering five or six would save him, because the template is simply so big. Then it's just a 2+ to kill (don't you love instant death?). Now the warriors can be taken out easy, even with some bad scatter rolls. Tomb Spyders are not the business of the vindicator, they are taken out with different things (like terminators in tactica necrons #1). Also this cool tank can deal with a monolith. If the Ordnance marker is placed on the very top and middle of the monolith, the blast can't scatter off the monolith. The special rule "no 2D6 to penetrate", won't work, because the vindicator doesn't roll 2D6 to penetrate. It rolls two dice and picks the highest one. So your 5+ to penetrate should be done with 2 dice and the rest you know. If possible try to deploy this fragile tank in cover, so you get the hull down. Even though it won't help a lot against the gauss weapons. I know you shouldn't deploy a lot of tanks against the necrons, because of their anti-tank weapons, but this one really works.
My second suggestion for anti-necron weaponry would be a
4 plasma cannon devastator squad. Fun, destructable and effective are the words for this one. I would use it against troops. These should help you get the "Phase out" rule into the game and drive the necrons away. Imagine 4 plasma cannons, four templates, around 6 necrons a turn, until they are all destroyed or phase out. For this squad you want to have a veteran sergeant with master crafted bolter-plasma gun. This sounds expensive, but if it takes down an approaching menace of a tomb spyder or something, it's really done its job. Everything in this tactica is quite expensive, but not too costy. These things should be a menace to the Necrons you will be facing.

Tactica Necrons #3 "Army Lists"

Necron armies are usually very plain, with some expensive troops and a lord, plus some fancy stuff. Since the necrons were just released, many people buy an army deal. So what you are very likely to be facing is a necron army deal pack and some other interesting stuff. Here is an example army list that you might be facing (I didn't write up the wargear).

HQ
Necron Lord - 100 pts.

Elites
Immortals 5x - 100+ pts.

Troops
Necron Warriors 12x - 180 pts.
Necron Warriors 12x - 180 pts.

Fast Attack
Destroyers 3x - 150 pts.
Scarabs 6x - 72 pts.

Heavy Support
Tomb Spyder - 50-100pts.

As you see, I do not have a codex, but I wrote down some things from my memory. That should be around 1100 points, because I didn't give these guys any wargear. With some
fancy and scary necron wargear, that should add up to 1500 points, so what you are going to be seeing in a game against necrons is about all I wrote and then from the following list:
-Special Character, Nightbringer, Deceiver
-Heavy Destroyers
-Monolith
-More warriors (to avoid phase out)

So you want to scrap up a list from the tips found in the Tactica Necrons #1 and #2. Have a lot of power weapons and AP 2 weapons. As you already saw, my force organisation is bad, because I'm not sure about in what categories different Necron things go. Scarabs, Tomb Spyders and Destroyers I'm not sure of, so please check the list and correct me.
Now, here is a list you would like to have against this scary new menace trying to take control of your souls:

HQ
Honour Guard with Jump Packs
2x Power Weapon and Boltpistol 76 pts.
2x Power Weapon and Plasma Pistol 86 pts.
1x Veteran Sergeant with Power Weapon and Boltpistol 50 pts.
1x Sanguinary High Priest 75 pts.
-Power Weapon 15 pts.
-Exsanguinator 30 pts.
-Terminator Honours 15 pts.
Points: 347 pts.

Elite
Assault Terminators & Land Raider Crusader
7x Lightning Claws 294 pts.
1x Sergeant with Lightning Claws 72 pts.
Crusader 255 pts.
Points: 621 pts.

Troops
Tactical Squad Alpha & Rhino
9x Bolters 135 pts.
1x Veteran Sergeant with Boltpistol and Power Weapon 45 pts.
Rhino 65 pts.
-Extra Armour 5 pts.
Points: 250 pts.

Tactical Squad Beta & Rhino
9x Bolters 135 pts.
1x Veteran Sergeant with Boltpistol and Power Weapon 45 pts.
Rhino 65 pts.
-Extra Armour 5 pts.
Points: 250 pts.

Tactical Squad Cilia & Rhino
9x Bolters 135 pts.
1x Veteran Sergeant with Boltpistol and Power Weapon 45 pts.
Rhino 65 pts.
-Extra Armour 5 pts.
Points: 250 pts.

Fast Attack
Attack Bikes
3x Heavy Bolters 150pts.

Heavy Support
Vindicator 120pts.

Devastator Squad Delta
1x Sergeant with Master Crafted Bolter Plasma Gun 60pts.
4x Plasma Cannons 200pts.
Points: 260 pts.

Total: 2248 pts.

After this progress and putting up this army, start picking things away to get the 1500 points or 2000 points. If you're playing with less than 1500 points, the army structure should be different and I am not going to explain any smaller than 1500 points battles here. If you need to pick down to 2000 points, take out the Tactical Squad Cilia and there's your 1998 points. Then if you're going down more, take away the attack bikes, they aren't very useful against 3+ saves, but they still balance the army with some fast attack. After taking that out, your army would be 1848. And to go to 1500 points, you still need to take out some stuff. Take out the rhinos, because your enemy will concentrate on the heavy things, while your tactical squads get to advance in peace, so I think the Rhinos won't be needed, even though it's important to get into close combat with Necrons. 1718 points is the sum now. After that it's up to you, what to take away from this army.
You might think you need a chaplain, but no, you ain't going to be needing one against the Necrons. What you need is power weapons and you already have those in the Honour Guard. You might want to take the Sanguinary High Priest away, that would leave you with 1583 points. So you still need to take out 83 points. By taking out 2 terminators and only having 6 would fix that. Two terminators are 84 points, so your point value would be 1499. Then get gaming. You already know how to use this army, if you have finished reading my Tactica Necrons #1 and #2. Only tactical squads are the weird ones in the army that you don't know how to control against Necrons. They are fairly easy to use, just get closer while the opponent shoots at your heavy shooty stuff and then charge once you get in range. Necron initiave is bad (2), so take the advantage with your strenght 5 and slay some bad necron boys. With this army you shouldn't lose yet, because most of the necron players are newbies, because of the fact that necrons were just released, so they don't know the power of necrons and all their strenghts before learning a little.
