My most recent project (June 3, 2002) extra armor for my transports.
Shown here on my new Blood Angels army tray (which is really handy
for moving the minis I need from display to the game table!).

How'd I do it? Simple - thick solid cardboard, cut to shape. There's a ridge which lies atop the running board of the rhino, and two prongs which slide into holes I've drilled into the side of the rhino which anchor the armor plate to the vehicle (the holes are small, nearly invisible when the armor is taken off). The armor plates were painted scab red, then drybrushed with blood red, then painted with red ink and given a coat of  "satin sheen" sealer. I then made a stencil of the Blood Angels symbol, and painted the design onto the armor plates. Tiny touchups to the B.A. design were done with scab red, then touched with red ink which makes the touchups indistinguishable from the red armor plate (hence the design looks clean).
happy modeling to all ~ Brother Edward
