Blood Angels Vs Ultramarines
So i was away for a while in Kentucky with my relatives when i relalized that they had a GW story!So i take a visit and see they have gaming tables!I call my mom and tell her to bring my army carriers!She brings them and i find this smurf marine to fight!Here is how it went... play with more.We made up some fluff to go along with it too so it worked
out ok.Plus 150 points into that HUGE when its a vindicator(who the hell
am i kidding?).
Terrain was a ruined building complex near the right center.Over from that and behind it were some trees.On my side there was plenty of bolters for cover.The trees were excellent fire lines for my pred. Deployment-The Tact squads in rhino's along with the vets were on one flank while the DC and honor guard where on the other.The preditor was in the tree line hull down with awsome LOS and the tac squad in razorback was next to it taking aim with both lascannons! Turn 1-The Commander in power armor was commanding the troops as the terminator captain was not yet sighted!The tactical squads stood still while the vindticator stayed on the flank of the tactical squad in rhinos and the dev's on the other flank.He was almost tempting me to go in the center!The dev's broke fire on nothing as they had no LOS to ANYTHING but the pred which they missed and the plasma cannons bounced off the hull as one plasma gunner was killed as the fool clumsily fooled with the ancient technology as it super heated and killed him!The Chaplain and Death Company and Sanguinary High Preist charged had the same fury raging through them.Both raged 4 inches and moved another 12 inches up the flank with the DC in front!The tactical squads and veterans charged forth up the flank directly towards the Vindicator.if this was going to work that vindicator was going to need to be silenced for the game and the dev's takin out!The DC and guard where behind some cover but if the dev's were able to fire they would surely kill 3-5 marines!The Tactical squad in razorback took aim at the devastators killing 2 with 2 lascannon shots!The preditors sponses where a tad bit of missing the vindicator.It was all up to the turret gunner who blew apart the demolisher cannon crippling the tank for the game!Next turnt he infernal thing would come down in flames! Turn 2-The commander in terminator armor arrived on the field near the blood angels main assualt loctaion as did the assualt squad who just landed!The tactical squads split going each way to block the massive assualt!The devastators or what was left gave fire into the Death Company with the second plasma cannon overheating but the power armor saved the marine's life with its ceramite protection!The High Priest and Chaplain both charge towards the enemy now within charging distance!The tactical squads and veterans made it to assualt distance while the preditor raged but gave 2 lascannon rounds into the dev's killing the rest off while the tactical squad blew apart the vindticator with a drect shot to its massive highly explosive ammo storage exploding it 6 full inches apart!The Tactical squads charged towards the other marines killing a total of 16 in the mass assualt!The smurfs fired with their bolters on the incoming foe's but only managed to drag down 3 tactical marines.The Death Company and honor guard slammed into the assualt squad and terminator squad killing off the whole squad while the Sanguinary High Preist challanged the captain to a duel!The Death Company led by the chaplain took down 6 assualt marines and they broke leaving the captain behind but where over run as the skilled chaplain caught up with the last two hacking them down like the fleeing heretics they were!The High Preist Asala Charged towards the terminator captain dodging the power sword attack and spearing his sword strait through the shoulder of the captain.The capatin was too close to fire off a round from his storm bolter and his sword was out of position and the bulk of the armor was too slow to move with he couldnt stop the fury of attacks!The sword was lodged firm and the High Preist knew that.The stuck his plasma pistol into the captains chest and shot 5 times.Each shot ripping into his gut and intestonal track!Asala kicked over the hulking corpse dislodging his power blade with a quick pull.The honor guard was encouraged by this and charged strait into some tactical marines! Turn 3-The commander on foot ran towards the chaos on his end hoping to make a difference.The combat was once again furious as the commander smashed apart 4 marines before being wounded from the onslaught of attacks himself!The honor gaurd ripped through 12 marines that were bunched together and the sanguinary High Preist cut down 2 with a single heavy blow with his sword and quickly aiming the plasma pistol at another marines head and with hesitation blowing the sorry excuse for a marines head off his body!Another combatant came from the back but caught a thrust from the sword as he got in range of Asala!The Death Company joined in killing off 7 more marines finishing them all off as the Chaplain charged towards an unlucky fool was was cut apart were he stood.Turning to his left the chaplain gave one marine a bolt pistol round in the collar bone and then another in the teeth blowing a whole in his throat and totally removing his head from his neck!Back to his right he took a large step to an angle cutting one marine in half with a single killing blow!The Death Company and Honor gaurd where out of range this turn for combat but next turn they would have blood on their hands once again! Turn 4-The Commander urged his troops onward but caught a chainsword
in the lung ripping through his power armor and flesh alike!Stunned from
the blow he took a step back turned and was gutted from behind by a veteran
sergant toting a power sword, and skillfuly sticking it through his kideny
and twisting killing the commander instantly, the squad of marines broke
and almost fell back into the death company.But even though they were not
crossfired they would suffer an even great fate of retreating towards the
death company and being stuck in close combat!The Detah Company charged
foward along witht he honor gaurd the chaplain killing 4 marines and the
Sanguianry high preist skillfully putting 2 plasma psitol rounds the the
bellies of 2 marines in close combat and slicing apart anothe 2 with his
power sword!The squad was annihilated and so was the ultra mairnes army!
I had a preditor annihilator 4 honor guard members 2 DC members 9 tac marines 3 rhino's and 7 veterans left from the battle! Lessons Learned-Dont fall for a trap to go for the weak center.Instead crack the tough shell first.Had i got caught in the middle with me at the command.I would have fell back voluntarily and showed the man the error of his ways by exploding his entire force with palsma las and demolisher fire!Dont fall for it! Use you ehavy weapons to take out the big stuff.Keep out of the plasma cannon LOS and hope for dead plasma cannon holders!The preditor annihilator proved its use again as it saved my tactic from a rhino rush on the left and a jump pack assualt on the right!
