Tyranid Turn Two - The Hive Tyrant is stuck in combat with a tenacioud Assassin. The rest of the Tyranid army moves forward aggressively - raveners seeking to engage the closest group of Seraphim. Gargoyles flying in on the Sisters right flank, and a Lictor reveals itself in rubble near the Gargoyles just behind a swarm of Termagaunts. |
Tyranid Turn Two shooting - the Tyranid shooting was far more effective than anyone imagined - especially from the three groups of Nid Warriors (each 3 warriors strong). both Seraphim groups suffer heavy losses. |
Racing across the field to finish the Seraphim - the Raveners begin their assault. |
A glimpse of the right flank Seraphim squad - having taken serious losses to shooting by the nids these Seraphim were assaulted by both Gargoyles and Termagaunts. A few Redemptionists in the center fortification look on in horror (unable to help) and a Sisters Immolator prepares to make the Tyranids pay for their aggression. |
An arial view of things (there's a lot going on!). Clearly the Tyranids are pressing their advance and the forward units are almost done - the Immolator and the Sisters within are about to make their presence known - as are the other Sisters on the Sisters left flank - and remember there are still two shooty Sisters units in the bunkers atop the hill (the bunkers you can see - one is stone covered, the other a building that we decided to use as a bunker) - apparently I need to make some more terrain :-) |
Having finished the Seraphim in assault, the Raveners sweep forward into the surviving Redemptionists. The Hive Tyrant (having dispatched the Assassin) lumbers across the field. |
Together the Raveners and the Hormagaunts sweep into the Redemptionists. End of Tyranid Turn Two. |
