Applying Decals to your minis

you need a tiny pair of scissors - make a cut down from the top of the transfer between the wings stopping just a hair away from the top part of the BA blood drop.... now put the decal in water and wait a little bit.... use a pair of tweezers to lift the decal (including the thick backing paper) and hold it right next to your Space Marine mini's sholder - use a small brush (wet with water) to gently slide the transfer over to the shoulder. When it's in good position use a tissue to touch to the corner of the shoulderpad (this will absorb the extra water - setting your decal in place - but not ALL of the water - don't  blot it dry  :-)

At this point you've got two options:

Option one - after your decal it totally dry (like an hour or so later/maybe the next day) just paint a little teeny bit of varnish on the shoulderpad and that will protect your decal from flaking off or being scratched :-)

Option two - is if you're lucky enough to live near a  hobby store that sells model trains they probably have this stuff called "decal set" which softens the decal - making it contour perfectly to your mini. This is the way that I do it :-)   The decal set solution is applied via a tiny brush BEFORE you use the tissue to  dry the shoulder - then you use the tissue to remove most of the moisture - and you can feel free now to paint a tad more of the decal set stuff on - in just a couple of minutes you will see the decal starting crinkle down on the shoulder - you can GENTLY touch the decal with your dry finger to smooth out any obvious wrinkles (your decal is looking really good at this point!) then let it dry completey - the next day hit the shoulderpad with varnish and your work will be protected forever :-)

    I  hope this helps!
