A side view, showing clearly the stylized markings on the chainsword (odd that he doesn't have a power weapon, but perhaps the special chainsword has some unigue significance :-) Sorry that the Blood Angels symbol on his shoulderpad is obscured by the glare - but on the side of the bolt pistol you can just make out the very tiniest suggestion of an Imperial Eagle. It's nowhere near perfect - but given the size involved it works for me :-) Also notice if you will the green eye almost seems to glow - this image was not retouched in any way, the eye effect is gained by allowing the fleshwash from the armor to darken the socket to begin with - then use a dash of goblin green to define much of the eyescreen - then a very tiny dash of white (think of it as the pupil/eye line) then hit the entire eye socket with dark green ink and you are done! The white dash is now luminescent green, the goblin green which surrounded it is now dark green - and the dark fleshwash which hadn't been covered by the goblin green is nearly black. The very last step is a tiny bit of glosscoat to the eye lense and whammo you are done - especially fun eyes for your special Space Marines. |
